Last night I used Lavender Hill’s Herbs De Provence on my chicken. I mixed 2 tsp of herbs with 2 Tbs of olive oil and brushed over 2 chicken breasts that I had cut into strips. When they were done I served them with a fresh green salad and Italian Vinaigrette. The best part of it was the strips of Provolone. A little Provolone on a bite of chicken was WONDERFUL. I am sure that this combination has been found and certified by a Chef or Food Critic 50 years ago, but I found it just last night. Keep your eyes open for the release of our Herbs De Provence. Don’t worry it will soon be available so you too can make WONDERFUL chicken.
I ate it all before I could take a picture...sorry. I will do better next time.
(UPDATE) So those that wanted a picture of the chicken got lucky, there were leftovers. This is my lunch the following day.

One of Mount Ogden's members stopped by to our booth over the summer and asked if we would like to come and present our company to their group during their Tuesday meeting at the Prairie Schooner. We said, "Sure". We set a date and I set out gathering all of our photos from the past year. I created a power point presentation with about 86 slides. It showed pictures of the garden, gift shops, awards and events we participated in during 2009. It was hard to decide which pictures would make the cut because they all capture a bit of what we do. We had a small table to display some of our products.
Our presentation started and with questions at the end everything lasted about 45 min. It was wonderful to hear feed back from people that have a business and experience. It was uplifting to hear their prayer and what their organization does. It is nice to know that there are groups of people doing good in the community. Groups that think like me and care about the well being of our neighbors. Who knows, maybe when things slow down and I have some time to donate, I too will become a rotary member.
Things were so busy that I forgot to take pictures. Here is one of our display before everyone got there. The other is of the resturant after everybody left.
We currently sell our Lavender Minis at gift shops and boutiques. We are now offering them in bulk to be used as wedding or party favors. You can choose the color of bag to match your event. We will sell them with or without personalized tags. At this wedding one of her colors was lavender so we used a lavender colored bag. Another of her colors was green, so we put a green border on her tag. On the back of the tag is a cute quote that says, "Squeeze and Remember Today".
Over the past few months we have been working on something NEW. Either new packaging, new products, new labels, new gift shop, new shed accessories...something NEW. I am not going to show you everything today because some things are just better when there is no snow in the foreground. BUT here are a few of our NEWEST items.
Lavender Lip Moisturizer in it's new packaging. Lavender's soothing and healing properties can be found in our Lavender Peppermint Twist. It is fresh and minty with a hint of lavender aroma.
Lavender Lucy. Our hand sewn bear with a lavender filled tummy. Each arm and leg are attached with a button. She is old fashioned and has a heart of gold (literally). Each bear has its own little heart that says, "Made with Love".
Our newest product is now available at the Wisebird Bookery in South Ogden. It is a Lavender Eye Pillow. This handmade pillow is filled with lavender flowers and flax seed. Lay back and place over your eyes to relax or ease tension headaches. Squeeze for added fragrance. Or for a cool application place in the refrigerator before use. Different fabric colors and textures will soon be available at the local Farmers Market.
